New York City …

fionakirk:

Yea, I think it is. And I’m just a boring college student. Nothing special.

Well, interestingly enough, I’m a boring not college student. We have so much in common, hah. Major? Anything?

I’m Sophie. Who are you?

New York City …

brian-kerr:

Not exactly, I pretty much achieved my dream. What about you, anyway?

That’s a relief, man. There’s gotta be some hope left in this bittersweet symphony of a city, here.

I’m part gas station attendant, Luna Lounge bartista, painter, and legitimately awesome. What’s your story?

New York City …

brian-kerr:

Not one little bit.

I guess you could say that, prisoner’s definitely the way it feels!

So what keeps you here, inmate? Off to follow the dying American dream as it perspires all over your favorite dress shirt?

New York City …

fionakirk:

Uh….yea a little. I mean…I could try. I guess I’m just lucky.

Ah, I see what’s up, here. Hey, admitting your lucky is the first step to humble humility, right? So then, what is it you do here, princess?

New York City …

brian-kerr:

Can’t say I’m that enamoured with it myself.

Not at all? Whatta bummer, man. But I suppose that’s the way it usually goes. This place’ll take you prisoner, right? Are you a prisoner of the NYC streets or what?

New York City …

fionakirk:

It really is. Is it your first time here or something?

Hm? Ah, nah man. I’ve been here for at least a year now, slaving to survive. Hah, you could probably imagine, yeah?

So thankful for the morning (early-afternoon)

mandy—lawrence:

N’aw, that’s alright. It is pretty difficult in the Big Apple, no matter what you do. Well, except for some people. Ew, two jobs? I couldn’t do it. Thankfully, my job pays pretty well, despite the stress I feel from it. Some people gotta do what they gotta do.

And, well, to put it simply, I dance. A dancer, whatever you’d like to call it. And you? What two jobs do you have?

A dancing position that pays well? You must be quite the dancer. Then again, I don’t know much about the physical arts in all honesty. I like to paint, but you need a whole new array of talent to handle dancing. Crazy admirable, I must say. It stresses you out? I hope that lightens up sometime soon, yeah?

Yeah, two jobs will definitely bust a person, definitely! Hah. I work days at this gas station and nights at the Luna Lounge. I can’t complain, though. I get to see a wide array of people— I dunno, I guess I enjoy people watching. Hah, I’m kind of a creep.

A guy I used to know.

Ah, the ‘guy’. My condolences for your emotions. It’s nice to reflect though, yeah?
